West Metro Veterans Fair
Tuesday, September 20, 2016, 1pm – 5pm, Lakewood Elks Lodge #1777, 1455 Newland Street, Lakewood
Greetings from Scott Hefty,
To everybody who has agreed to participate in the 2016 West Metro Veterans Fair (WMVF) – THANK YOU! We have 39 non-profits on this year’s vendor list which is a new record for us. Speaking of records, if we want to increase the number of WMVF attendees from 2015 we need everybody to pitch in and help spread the word by posting posters, handing out rack cards, posting WMVF information on your social media websites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and in your newsletters as well as sharing this information with any veterans or other non-profits you are in contact with in order to get the word out to our veteran community.
Attached are PDF files of the West Metro Veterans Fair poster and rack cards for you and the City of Lakewood print shop has printed 300 – 11×17 WMVF posters for distribution. Please let me know if you would like us to get some posters to your organization and we will deliver them in the next week or two or feel free to stop by the Lakewood Municipal Court any Monday through Friday from 8 to 5pm (address below) to pick some up. In addition, the City of Lakewood website will go active today by COB as well – www.Lakewood.org/VeteransFair . Other City of Lakewood social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter will be coming on line with WMVF information in the near future.
Interested in participating but not sure what our forum is about?
The City of Lakewood and the Lakewood Elks Lodge #1777 are hosting the 4th annual West Metro Veterans Fair to serve veterans and family members in the community and to assist them with learning about their benefits, resources or organizations serving military personnel. Here is the City link to a web posting as well: www.Lakewood.org/VeteransFair.
As always, please do not hesitate in contacting me if you need any additional information. Thank you again! Scott and Norm
