Veterans Day @ Texas Roadhouse

Veterans Day @ Texas Roadhouse

3696 S. Natches Court, Englewood, CO 80110

Once Texas Roadhouse opened their doors today, our Veterans from all age groups and conflicts were welcomed with a free lunch or dinner according to Steve Peck.   Steve is a managing partner at the Texas Roadhouse in Englewood, Colorado.  He said they were happy to  provide our Veterans with a thank you meal as they have done so much for our country.  This particular location has been participating in this Veterans Day Texas Roadhouse tradition for four years.  When asked what the ballpark dollar amount of this day would cost Texas Roadhouse, he said over $10,000.

Although Denver started out with snow in the morning, the restaurant was hopping all day and reservations for this evening will keep all of the wait staff running.  Speaking of the wait staff, on the back of their shirts read:  SERVING THOSE WHO SERVE OUR COUNTRY.

I felt fortunate to be part of Veterans Day @ Texas Roadhouse, shaking hands and meeting many Veterans and their families.   Although the waiting list was long at times, conversation flowed and many Veterans were able to catch up with each other.  I did not want to intrude on our Veteran diners by taking pictures, however TeamRWB members were willing.  Thank you ladies!

Katie and Chris

I also met Chris Williams who is the District Chaplin that can be found at the VFW Post 1 in Englewood.  He has been involved at that location for over a year and I look forward to catching up with him to hear what services our Veterans can find there if they are not already aware.

Thank you Steve Peck, for taking a moment to talk with me during this very busy day.  You and all of the staff at Texas Roadhouse went out of your way to serve those who have served us.  I am rushing to publish this because there is still time for our Veterans to drive to Texas Roadhouse and enjoy a steak dinner!  And to all of our Veterans and their loved ones:
