JC, Chris, Chance
Remember Chance? He was the dog scheduled to be euthanized on December 23, 2014. Enter JC from Pets For Vets. She rescued him on December 22nd. Today, more happy news for Chance and an Army Veteran! Chance, trained to be a companion dog by JC, was delivered to Chris, a Veteran who currently is a student at CU Boulder enrolled in Environmental Studies.
Looks like Pets For Vets has provided a new friendship for both Chris and Chance. Always nice reporting good news, and I was sure happy to be part of this special day!
Also, on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Grand Opening of Waters Edge Winery in Centennial (Arapahoe and University), a charity donation for Pets For Vets will be presented. Sheesh, it keeps getting better; they are also dedicating a wine to be a continued charity donation for Pets for Vets! Hope to see you there.
As a side note, Brenda Rolland Halverson from Paws in Motion Photography, also came to donate her time to shoot professional photos for Pets For Vets. http://www.pawsinmotionphotography.com/
At Pets for Vets, we believe our country owes military veterans a debt of gratitude. Our soldiers have been brave but many of them have returned with physical and emotional injuries that have made it difficult to transition back to civilian life. Some estimates state that as many as 20% of returning military veterans suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Friday, March 20, 2015, GRAND OPENING, Water’s Edge Winery, 2101 E. Arapahoe, # 101, Centennial, CO, 80122, (720)839-5053
