Join the Denver Colorado Blue Star Mother’s Chapter # 3 in honoring Colorado’s Fallen Military and Gold Star Parents.

This annual motorcycle poker run in Northern Colorado will take place on Saturday, July 18. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. at Sonny’s Country Cafe (1018 Mahogany Way) in Severance. Cost is only $20 and $5 for your passenger with all bikes out by 10:00 a.m.

Stops include Fort Collins, LaPorte, Masonville and then back to Windsor where the poker run will end at the Windsor American Legion at 624 Ash. There will be all kinds of great prizes along with a 50/50, silent auction and a BBQ lunch for only $5.

100% of the proceeds support the Colorado Gold Star Parent Weekend which is a safe haven for the families where they can come together to be with other families who have lost their child that served in the military. We continue to honor all of the Fallen Heroes be it a death by suicide, KIA, accident or illness. To date we have over 220 Fallen Heroes that we honor and remember. The number of families that have attended the weekend has grown from 30 in 2004 to 80 in 2013.

During this healing seminar/weekend, the Blue Star Mom’s provide information, resources, references, counselors, speakers, workshops and anything that will assist the parents on their grief journey
