Rocky Mountain Honor Flight Takes Off

Do you appreciate old-fashioned notions including honor and character?  Our WWII American veterans may not have realized their values and love of country would help shape the lives of future generations.  However, their contributions were crucial in overcoming injustice and tyranny.  Their efforts established our freedom and democracy.

Fortunately, some of these veterans who have been called, “the greatest generation ever,” are still with us.  Rocky Mountain Honor Flight continues to raise the finances to send these cherished Americans to Washington DC, to view the National WWII Memorial at no expense to the veterans.   www.rockymountainhonorflight.org. 50th Vietnam War Anniversary

Colorado’s 50th Vietnam War Anniversary Ceremony:  WELCOME HOME!  Flags lined the way to the staging area for the Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony.  It was held at Ft. Logan’s National Cemetery in Denver on March 29th.  Over two hundred people joined together to acknowledge and honor our military veterans for the 50th Vietnam War Anniversary.  It was a special day for our Vietnam Veterans who served.  The salutation, “Welcome home brother,” could be heard again and again as veterans greeted each other.  A Vietnam Veteran lapel pin was presented to each veteran to recognize, thank and honor their service during the Vietnam War period.  Continue reading 50th Vietnam War Anniversary
