2018 West Metro Veterans Fair
Once again, Scott Hefty, (Retired U.S. Army) and his team are gearing up for another important event for veterans! The 6th annual West Metro Veterans Fair (WMVF) will be held on Tuesday, September 25th from 11 am to 3 pm at the Lakewood Elks Lodge 1777, 1455 Newland St., Lakewood, Colorado.
Scott Hefty: “This event is designed to increase awareness of non-profit programs and services for veterans and their families by highlighting employment, housing, mental health, educational, recreational and resource opportunities. This is a veteran-driven and community inspired event with the goal of connecting veterans/families with people and resources.
At the 2017 West Metro Veterans Fair (WMVF), we had over 45 non-profit veteran organizations participating and approximately 200 fair attendees. Additionally, as we have witnessed over the past five WMVF’s, there is the ancillary goal of collaboration and information sharing among the participating non-profit within the veteran community.
Also, the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System will be on hand providing free flu vaccines. The Liver Health Connection will be providing free hepatitis C screening for those veterans attending this years West Metro Veterans Fair. Please take advantage of this opportunity.”
