On May 23, 2015, volunteer JC Snider from Pets For Vets-Colorado, rescued another dog from being euthanized.   He is a purebred blue heeler.    She named him Tag, since she tagged him for adoption before his scheduled final day.  His previous owner had surrendered him.

Rocky Mountain Honor Flight @ DIA

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED AT DIA MAKING THIS WELCOME HOME CELEBRATION SUCH A SUCCESS!  And Congratulations to Rocky Mountain Honor Flight for making another Washington, D.C. visit happen for our WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans.  The amount of time, energy, and fund-raising  for the volunteers of RMHF to continue to provide these much deserved trips can be daunting.  If not for this all-volunteer organization, most of these Veterans would never see the memorials dedicated to them for their sacrifice and service. You don’t even have to ride.  All we require is that you show respect for those who have served our country. Continue reading Patriot Guard Riders by Robert Waples

Team RWB, Celebrating 5 Years

5 Year v4
While attending different community events, I am fortunate to meet and dialogue with many people, Veterans and civilians, alike.    One of the organizations, I have found, that is truly reaching out to our service member population is Team Red, White, and Blue.  They encourage healthy options for our Veterans through exercise and social activity and invite civilians to be part of the “team.”  I am proud to be one of the 86,164 members.  If you have not heard of this dynamic organization, take a look.
